Whether you are simply looking for a fun day out or want to get into some serious muscle-toning activity, you'll find the answer in one of the area's indoor sport and leisure centres.
Bude's
Splash Centre enjoys an indoor summer all year round. In the tropical leisure
pool, whilst you're plucking up courage to take on the giant water slide,
you can jump the waves as they break onto the gently sloping beach. Then you
can leave the kids to their aquatic antics whilst you head for the Calypso
Health Suite to unwind in the jacuzzi, have a Finnish pine sauna or top up
your tan. At the Budehaven Leisure Centre you can limber up in the fitness
studio before springing into action in the multi-activity sports hall.
At Bodmin's Dragon Leisure Centre you can replay the Wimbledon finals on indoor tennis courts and cool off in a modem six-lane pool. In the Launceston Leisure Centre, you can work up a healthy sweat in the glass-backed squash court and then dash off a few lengths in the 25-metre pool. And at Camelford, and Wadebridge Sports Centres you can swim, test out the superbly-equipped weights rooms, or choose from a range of sports hall activities.
