Opened in May 1994, the Boscastle Visitor Centre was built by the North Cornwall Heritage Coast and Countryside Service in order to provide information about the wildlife, history and opportunities to explore the Boscastle area.

The building itself is most attractive. Although new it utilises local building materials, Delabole Slate, and incorporates local building styles such as a hipped roof and slate floor.

The interior has been laid out to be most welcoming. There is masses of information and guides on walking, cycling and other outdoor activities. The information is colourfully presented and easily viewed. There is even a special area for children to play in whilst parents can walk around and take in the bits and pieces of information. boscatlevisitor.jpg - 12.3 K

The centre is sited in the Boscastle car park, so you can't miss it. Why not come along and see for yourself; since May over 120,000 people have, so it must have some appeal!
